A polished hospitality website built around atmosphere, venue discovery and layered restaurant experiences.
The Blue Posts is a Soho institution: a pub, a restaurant and a bar across three floors in the heart of London's West End. The website needed to capture the warmth and character of the space while making it easy for new visitors to understand what was on offer and how to visit.
Translating the warmth and distinctiveness of a physical hospitality venue into a digital experience is genuinely difficult. Generic hospitality templates feel cold and transactional. The Blue Posts needed something that communicated the atmosphere before someone arrived.
Atmosphere came first. Photography, colour and type were chosen to communicate the feel of the venue before any text was read. The three-floor structure was made clear without making it feel complicated. Menus and bookings were kept easy to find, with the visual weight given to photography and atmosphere rather than functional UI.
The website now communicates what makes The Blue Posts worth visiting. New customers arrive with a clear sense of the atmosphere and offer, and online reservations have become a more consistent part of the booking mix.
