Overview
This page explains how Aven uses cookies and similar technologies on the Aven website. Aven's approach is to use only what is necessary and to give you clear control over any optional cookies.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the website work properly, remember your choices and, where used, give the website owner an understanding of how people use the site. Cookies do not give anyone access to your device or personal files.
Types of cookies Aven uses
Necessary cookies
These are essential for the website to function properly. They are used to remember your cookie preferences and support basic site behaviour. Necessary cookies are always active and cannot be turned off through the cookie preferences panel.
Analytics and performance
Aven uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand basic website traffic and performance. This helps Aven see page views, visits, page load speed and similar performance information including Core Web Vitals.
Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or localStorage to track visitors. It collects anonymised, aggregate data and does not track individual users across websites. Because it does not set cookies, it operates independently of the cookie consent banner.
Aven does not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or advertising cookies.
Marketing cookies
Aven does not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If marketing tools are added in the future, this policy will be updated and your consent will be requested before any such cookies are set.
Managing your cookie choices
When you first visit the Aven website you will see a small cookie preferences notice. You can:
- Accept only necessary cookies
- Accept all cookies
- Customise your preferences by choosing individual categories
Necessary cookies are always active and support the essential functioning of the site. Optional categories are turned off by default and only activated if you choose to enable them.
Changing your preferences
You can update your cookie choices at any time using the button below. Your updated preference will be saved immediately.
