A clean, premium coffee e-commerce experience with strong product presentation and a calm buying journey.
Assembly Coffee is a London-based specialty coffee brand selling whole bean and ground coffee direct to customers online. Their website needed to match the considered quality of their product, with a browsing and buying experience that felt calm, deliberate and premium, not rushed or cluttered.
The previous site underserved the brand. Product discovery was unclear, the subscription offer was buried, and the visual design did not communicate the quality of what Assembly actually makes. Visitors were landing and leaving without understanding the full range.
We led with editorial hierarchy and generous white space. Product photography was given room to breathe across clean grid layouts. The colour palette was kept minimal, with dark typography on light backgrounds, so the product imagery carried the page. Subscriptions were surfaced early in the journey with clear value framing. Navigation was stripped to its essentials.
The redesigned store gives Assembly a digital presence that matches their physical brand. Product discovery is cleaner, the subscription flow is more intuitive, and the overall experience reflects the care that goes into every bag they sell.
